Welcome to the Lake Barton Cross Country Course, home of the Great Bend High School Cross Country teams. The LBXC course is located on what was once the Lake Barton camp ground areas. The course is six miles north of Great Bend on US Highway 281 and one quarter mile west of the 4-H grounds.
The Lake Barton Cross Country Course features a 5K, 4K, 2 mile course and coming soon a one mile course. Each course utilizes the natural terrain of the land that features turns and hills that make it a challenge for all who run on it. The unique challenges of the LBXC course make it one of the toughest cross country courses in the state of Kansas.
